The over-sized bow around the crown at the 12 o'clock position is a distinct BOVET characteristic, reminiscent of the pocket watches from the 19th century. The proportions of the bow has been increased, from its original purpose as a chain attachment, to accommodate the width of a full sized strap & doubles as a crown protector.

Glass enamel dial with fantastic finely finished hands.
Amazing piece with the much rarer Bovet option of the finely finished and decorated movement with enamel and pearl set rotor. A must see!!
